Stud Gun Setup Guide for CD Studs using an Arc Chuck

Follow these step-by-step instructions to properly set up your stud gun to weld CD studs. Hanlon Stud Welding recommends this setup as it lasts longer than using traditional collets.

This setup works for Truweld, Proweld, Midwest Fasteners, StudPro, Erico, H.A. Jones, and SWS stud welder guns.

Required Parts

✓ B to N Adaptor
✓ Arc Chuck
✓ CD Foot
✓ CD Legs

STEP 1 - Insert Adaptor

Place the B to N Adaptor in the gun.

STEP 2 - Insert Arc Chuck

Place the Arc Chuck in the B to N Adaptor.

STEP 3 - Make the Foot Assembly

Screw the CD Gun Legs into the foot.

STEP 4 - Assemble the stud gun

Slide the foot piece into face plate. Adjust so that 1/8" to 3/16" of the stud is sticking out past the spark shield and tighten the set screws in the face plate.
